Joining Chapter Zero Poland to power green connectivity

When you stand on a construction site, watching kilometers of fiber optic cables being laid into the ground, it’s easy to see just the technology.

But for me, it is also about the bigger picture: fiber is one of the greenest technologies in telecom – it consumes far less energy than legacy copper or mobile networks, and it does not rely on resource-heavy materials like copper.

What’s more, fiber enables a low-carbon digital economy: from remote work and online education to telemedicine and digital public services. Every meeting that happens online instead of requiring a car or a flight helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In this way, investing in fiber is investing in both connectivity and climate resilience.

That is why I am truly excited to share that I have joined Chapter Zero Poland, part of the global Climate Governance Initiative launched by the World Economic Forum. It is a community of board members and executives committed to integrating climate action into the way we lead companies.

Climate change is the defining challenge of our time – and I believe every business leader has a role to play in addressing it. I look forward to learning, sharing experiences, and working alongside inspiring leaders who want to make a real difference.

In Poland, Chapter Zero is coordinated by Forum Odpowiedzialnego Biznesu.
