6G is the technology of tomorrow. In just 5 years:
– speeds of 1 Tb/s
– support for one million devices per km²
– latency down to 0.1 ms
– 50% lower energy requirements compared to 5G
6G means:
– terahertz communication
– machine learning
– swarm optimization
– quantum communication
– brain-computer interfaces
This is not science fiction; it is happening now. Our task is to meet this challenge – as network providers, as operators, as users, and as defenders of network security.
China spent EUR 2.4 billion in 2023 on 6G research. The European Union will spend slightly less than EUR 2 billion by 2027.
